Baby Star Chicken-Flavored Crispy Noodle Snack.

Pollster John Zogby, in this week's New Yorker:

"Before the election in 2000, I called my call center in Utica and said, 'Put this in the poll: You live in the land of Oz, and the candidates are the Tin Man, who's all brains and no heart, and the Scarecrow, who's all heart and no brains. Who would you vote for?' The next day, I called Utica said, 'Whaddaya got?' They said, 'Well, we've got Gore--,' I said, 'I don't care about Gore. What's Oz?' It was 46.2 for the Tin Man and 46.2 for the Scarecrow...

"...But I asked this question again two weeks ago and the Tin Man led by ten points."

Ani DiFranco and Margaret Cho came through here 2 weeks ago for Vote Dammit. Cho likened John Kerry to a very large, solid, somewhat imposing tree. And wouldn't we all rather have a tree than a Bush. (That's a poll already taken.)

Mike, I just want to take a bite out of your yummy yummy taffy-colored photo. Mmm...tastes like curvy pastel Mondrian....

ten points eh? yikes. but still, it wasn't like the tin man was unlikeable, or didn't really have heart, he just thought since the woodsman never gave him one, that he was lacking one. but he was totally romantic throughout the story. and the heart he got at the end wasn't even really a heart at all. it was a heart shaped clock on a friggin popcorn string or something. i don't know if this poll can be trusted.

rob, that is because oz never did give nuthin to the tin man that he didn't already have.

mike you are shirtless. i can't help to notice.

I am reminded of Fritz Lang's moral from his 1926 Metropolis:

"The mediator between the head and the hands is the heart"

Its dangerous in Oz these days, you need a metal friend with an axe maybe ever since the Wizard flew away. The lion had to abdicate in 2000 because of term limits, all hell broke loose after that. Lollipop Land has been bombed into corn syrup. The yellow brick road is now at a series of pawn shops. Dorothy had a daughter who beat up David Gest.

The Scarecrow was brainless in a way completely different than George Bush, you give Scarecrow a diploma and it turns out he already knows all this math. You give Bush a degree and, well, you see what happens, he can't find the Weapons of Math Instruction with two armies and a flashlight. And they shoved that flashlight everywhere man, I'm not kidding.
